News

Our dear colleague Sue passed away on Sunday 14 April. She had been fighting a very brave and long fight with cancer

Sue was a support analyst in our IT team and had worked in our London office since 1984.

She was a lovely, calm and kind person who was very diligent in her work.

She was hired to help with our very first supporter database, and subsequently helped set up the office’s very first computers and network, enabling our vital work to protect animals.

Many colleagues from our global team have fond memories of her from the 35 years she dedicated to our organisation.

Our CEO, Steve McIvor, said: "I am personally very sorry and saddened to hear this news."

Sue was also an avid bowler, and a member of Stevenage Town Bowls Club in the UK. She was County President at the club in 2016.

Sue will be greatly missed by all of us here at World Animal Protection.
