Emma Slawinski, former european programmes director at World Animal Protection.

Animal welfare has always been Emma's passion. Discovering you could work to improve the lives of animals as a profession was a revelation for her as a child. She have been a campaigner throughout her career, working on different issues and learning how to make change happen, before getting the break into animal welfare.

Emma believes all animals, regardless of species, should be free from suffering and be treated with compassion and respect. She is particularly interested in campaigns which support the less ‘charismatic’ species, or challenge suffering which is kept hidden. Emma lead the development of global chicken campaign, Change for Chickens, which is transforming the lives of billions of animals. In her spare time, she runs the Wasp Appreciation Society.
