A dolphin in captivity - Wildlife. Not entertainers - World Animal Protection

Dolphins in captivity are locked down for life. That's 50+ years of misery. As we look to a future when we can travel again, Expedia Group continues to profit from this cruelty

Dolphins in captivity have nothing to smile about

Dancing Dolphins

"This is the tale of the dancing dolphins, the ones that skipped upon the waves. They breathe the air the same way we do, and dance the deep for all their days…”

Dolphins should be in the ocean, dancing wild and free, not languishing in barren tanks and forced to perform for tourists.

Thank you for being a voice for dolphins.

You are helping to keep up the pressure on Expedia Group to stop profiting from dolphin cruelty.

Remember to tag @Expedia and #NoTanksExpedia and demand Expedia Group stop promoting and selling tickets to captive dolphin venues.

Dolphins in captivity have nothing to smile about

As one of the world’s largest travel companies, Expedia Group is selling tickets to dolphin venues worldwide, supporting the captivity and suffering of over 500 dolphins.

Now is the time to end the exploitation of wild animals for the entertainment of people – this is why we are relaunching our campaign demanding Expedia Group stop profiting from dolphin cruelty.

Help us make this the last generation of dolphins in captivity by joining hundreds of thousands of others in signing our petition demanding Expedia Group stop selling, offering and promoting captive dolphin shows and experiences.

Act now

Tell Expedia Group to end this cruelty

A life in captivity is no life at all for intelligent, social dolphins

Expedia Group would have you believe that dolphins in captivity are happy. This couldn’t be further from the truth. Captive dolphins are:

  • separated from their mothers far too young
  • confined in tanks 200,000 times smaller than their natural home
  • deprived of food so they can be trained

Sign our petition asking Expedia Group to finally stop selling, offering or promoting any dolphin shows or experiences.
